An Appetite for: Books - My Bookshelves Runneth Over

I made a big decision recently. After returning from a local library book sale - and scoring 6 great books (pictured above) for $6 - I realized I had no space on my bookshelves to store these. During the pandemic, in the heart of lockdown, I was making a good dent on my collection, discovering treasure upon treasure of 5-star reads. But when the library re-opened, my reading of any library books was prioritized with their pressing due dates and alluring sparkly newness. But all this time, I have not stopped acquiring books for my collection - books I really want to read!

So I decided to kick off Project Read My Bookshelf. I'm going to take a pause on both checking out library books and buying new books and I'm going to focus on reading the books I already own. I'm excited to read what I have but if I don't like something, I'll quickly DNF it and give it away (or try to sell it on PangoBooks - an app that makes it easy to buy and sell books from other readers).

The "loophole" to my rules will be that I can still read audiobooks from the library - those don't take up space and are incremental reading opportunities anyway.

My plan is to do this project for about a year, but will see - maybe just through the summer will be sufficient to make a dent! Follow along for my progress.
